STPI - Software Technology Parks of India is a premier S&T organization under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, established in 1991, with a mandate to promote software exports from the country. Today, with 14 jurisdictional directorates that comprises of 71 centers, out of which 63 centres are in Tier II & Tier cities, STPI has expanded its presence across the country. To strengthen the tech startup ecosystem in the country, STPI has launched 24 Centres of Entrepreneurship (CoEs) in emerging technology domains such as IoT, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Vision, Augmented & Virtual Reality, Gaming, Animation & Visual Effects, Data Science & Analytics, FinTech, AgriTech, MedTech, Autonomous Connected Electric & Shared (ACES) Mobility, ESDM, Industry 4.0, Drone, and Efficiency Augmentation. STPI has also implemented Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS) in 12 Tier II locations across India viz. Agartala, Bhilai, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mohali, Patna, and Vijayawada to realize the vision of National Policy on Software Products (NPSP).
