Subbarao is the Co-Founder/CBO of Interlude Biopharma, a gastrointestinal therapeutics company advancing three late-stage, novel oral peptide candidates for GI disorders. The lead asset, larazotide, is entering Phase 3 (FDA cleared) development for celiac disease.In addition to his role at Interlude, Subbarao serves as an Independent Board Director at Scienture (SCNX), and as a Board Advisor to early-stage life sciences companies such as Modig Life Sciences, JOGO Health, and Xcovery. He is also a Venture Advisor to Kartha Capital and Ten8Capital.Previously, Subbarao founded RxC International, a leading biopharma strategy consulting firm, and earlier served as Head of Strategic Planning at Daiichi Sankyo, following leadership roles at BCG/CAG. He has authored books on commercializing biopharma products, managing the biopharma value chain, and investing in the life sciences sector. He has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He enjoys collaborating with thought leaders to bring innovative solutions to address key unmet medical needs across diseases.
