A highly accomplished and results-driven Senior Scientist (API-R&D) with more than 20+ years of rich experience in a wide gamut of functionalities in API Process Development, Cost reduction, Polymorph screening, Polymorphism & Crystallization, scale-up & technology transfer, Trials & Validations in GMP sites, Solid state characterization, patent filing for new forms or non-infringing processes, quality assurance, trouble shooting & Issue Handling and Team Leadership Noteworthy Achievements:• Played a major role as one of the member in establishing Polymorphism & Crystallization lab in Dr Reddy’s in 2002-03• Successfully reduced the impurity from 5% to non-detected by crystallization in the final API stage of anticonvulsant drug to treat seizure disorders (epilepsy), which was scaleup ed in the plant with 100Kgs batch size which gave consistent purity and yield and helped to file fast DMF • Created new life to one of API for the first time in Dr. Reddy’s lab, when crystalline form could not be stabilized during scale-up and therefore stabilized amorphous form using Povidone, which is now a platform technology• Successfully developed Crystallization Process for critical mixture of forms with desired particle size of substance Pantagonists within 45days and scaled up at 1.75 per kg scale and 6.0kgs dispatched to the customers within timelines, finally resulting in sales of 1.44 Crores• Oversaw BFRoW: Process developed and saved the time from 190hrs to 30hrs for one of the BFRoW product and successfully scaled up at plant, which is used for treatment of acne and acute promyelocytic leukemia• Successfully filed more than 40 patents/patent applications
