ABOUT SUBATHIRA RAJAVEL

I am a dedicated biomedical engineering graduate with strong academic credentials, having completed my M.E. in Medical Electronics (First Class Distinction) at SSN College of Engineering and my B.E. in Biomedical Engineering (First Class Distinction) from Dr. NGP Institute of Technology. My professional interests focus on medical simulation, biomedical signal and image processing, sensor technologies, biomechanics, and intelligent diagnostic systems. I am committed to advancing healthcare through evidence-based research and the development of technology-driven solutions.During my postgraduate program, I completed a research-driven project on Virtual Reality–based Surgical Simulation, where I worked on VR system design, 3D interaction modelling, haptic integration, and workflow development for surgical training applications. This work strengthened my interest in simulation-based medical education and biomedical innovation.Additional academic and project experience includes:• Sleep Apnea Detection using ECG and SVM (machine learning + signal processing)• Biomedical device development projects such as the Tissue Waste Disposer• Research presentations including the Bio-Decomposer concept• Exploration of advanced biomedical ideas such as nanorobotic cancer therapy and gene therapy approachesI am strongly inclined toward a career that combines research, academic teaching, and technological innovation. I aim to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering / Medical Electronics, with a focus on:– VR-based surgical simulation and training– Haptics and human–technology interaction– Sensor systems and biomechanics– AI/ML applications for medical diagnostics– Neuroengineering and cognitive rehabilitationMy long-term goal is to contribute to impactful research, publish high-quality work, guide students, and play a meaningful role in developing the future of healthcare technology.I welcome opportunities for research collaboration, academic roles, and interdisciplinary projects within the biomedical and medical electronics domains.
