Planning and Managing the supply chain of imported automotive parts to Ford plants in International Market Group and ensuring timely execution of production with zero production downtime while making maximum utilization of logistical resources and asset.• Launch/Program Management and Engineering Change Managemento Ensure completion of Launch Readiness Review, Production Part Approval Process and Logistics Network setup prior to shipments to customer plant. Liaise with CFT and supplier in case of a contingency/issues and minimize premium freight incurrence.o Setting up system for all Engineering changes, enabling seamless transition between Engineering part levels. • Contingency Managemento Supplier Risk Management/Force Majeure/Logistics Network Failure – Plan and maintain un-interrupted supplies and avoid premium freight incurrence during contingencies like Supplier Bankruptcy, Machine breakdown/Tooling issue, Capacity Issues, Global raw material shortage, Natural Calamity, Port Congestion, Civil Outbreak, Union Strikes, Cyber Attack, Vessel delay, Vessel Write-off, Wrong routing, Container off-loading etc.o Predictive analysis – Observe and study historic global trends to plan supply chain operation. o Prepare deck for Leadership review, One pager, Production Alert Notification, Night Letter and Tiger Shark. • Inventory Management - Avoid over-shipment of parts from Supplier. Initiate and support salvaging actions of Obsolescence stocks with due cost binning.• Value stream mapping - Initiate inventory reduction initiative by cutting Logistics Transit Time, load optimization, reducing floats days at Consolidator’s and customer plant etc.• Total Value Management - Work with supplier on TVM actions like Feature Addition / Deletion, Resourcing, Logistics optimization and Localization actions.
