As volunteer section President for NAPA, I lead a national team of professional, practicing, and applied anthropologists to advocate for resources and opportunities in the discipline. I work with the American Anthropological Association and partner organizations to advance careers and build access to information around the changing landscape of work in this field.For more than 40 years, NAPA has championed pathways outside the academy and is poised to impact a new generation of talent moving into corporate, government, and nonprofit roles. My vision is to create deeper connections between the academy and alt-ac sectors to spotlight the essential contributions that anthropologists make. I look forward to growing NAPA\'s annual Careers Expo, expanding the sNAPAshots video conversation series, promoting the journal \"Annals of Anthropological Practice,\" and working with NAPA committees on new content and professional development outreach.
