ABOUT SU WILLIAMS
Hi, I’m Su, a qualified Family and Child Inclusive Mediator. A member of (FMA)(FMC) and a Resolution member. I run Su Williams mediation and @SJMediation I have over 30 years of experience working with children, parents, and families. My passion lies in helping families navigate the complexities of separation and divorce, facilitating difficult conversations, and supporting them in reaching meaningful, lasting agreements.I can offer a flexible approach as I offer evening and occasional weekend appointments. I want to build relationships with solicitors and others to create clear referral links into my service. Please DM to discuss this further. Why Mediation?Did you know that approximately 70% of people who engage in mediation successfully reach agreements? this is because mediation offers a neutral, safe space to explore options, foster critical conversations, and establish solid agreements. It often complements the work done with solicitors and can help avoid the need for court proceedings. My ApproachI believe mediation helps those in conflict “catch their breath” by providing a supportive space that promotes focus and agreement on what matters. The process offers a framework for having those critical conversations. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience regarding communication, child development, parenting, conflict, anger etc.oh and LIFE. I bring this expertise to my role as a mediator. Clear communication is essential to helping families build strong foundations and successfully navigate the challenges of separation. Focusing on the parental relationship after separation is critical for parents and imperative for how children experience the transitionAdvocating for ChildrenI am a strong advocate for amplifying the “voice of the child” during family transitions. When parents separate, children are significantly impacted and need a space to express their thoughts and feelings. Child Inclusive Mediation can play a vital role in helping parents build stronger co-parenting foundations and create a more positive transition for everyone involved.
