SMT Member and Company Director strategically leading the delivery of SkillsActive’s Standards and Qualifications business plan across the groups seven occupational sectors:• Standards – the development of new and review of existing National Occupational Standards (NOS), through UKCES funding.• Qualifications – the maintenance of existing common units, development of new and approval of those qualifications submitted by Awarding Organisations.• Awarding Organisations – the development and maintenance of partnerships with both Partner and Contributor Awarding Organisations.• Apprenticeships – the maintenance, development and implementation of Apprenticeship Frameworks and Trailblazer Standards and management of the certification process.• Issuing Authority – issuing of new Apprenticeship Frameworks/Standards.• Thought Leadership – being at the heart of employer and government thinking on standards, qualifications and related matters. • Endorsement/Kitemarking – HEI’s, Awarding Organisations, Training Providers.• Governance, Compliance and Standards: professional occupational registers.• Global Standards: board member of international registers covering;(USA, UAE, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Ireland and Europe).• International Development: Working with British Council and overseas development (USA, UAE, China, Japan, India, South America, Europe) in education, standards and global migration through accreditation of prior learning. • Public Affairs and External Relations: Campaigning, lobbying and political positioning, policy makers relationship, key stakeholder relationship management,
