Youth Projects Worker within YMCA East Surrey\'s youth services team focus. Day to day lead for four activity programmes offered to young adults with additional needs more specifically:Sports Leadership Awards: Monday programme during which attendees learn to play a range of sports correctly, design their own sports/physical activities, and reflect on performance. The ultimate aim is for attendees to achieve a level 1 sports leadership qualification.Healthy Living: Wednesday programme focused on physical activity and healthy eatingHealthy Life Skills: Thursday cafe programme which teaches attendees all aspects of running a public food enterprise including correct cleaning procedures, safe food preparation, food service, hospitality and customer service, stock check, ordering and money management-Friday Night Project. Friday night social club with 50+ members. Attendees take part in activities of their choice recent examples include rock climbing, inclusive sports, zumba, drama and African drummingResponsible for the efficient and safe running of these programmes and making them a success. Specific responsibilities include:Sales and marketing of each programme to ensure uptake and sustainabilityPublishing of term activity schedules following consultation with attendeesAdministration Management of YMCA staff and volunteers during sessionsLiason with families, social workers, supported housing managers, support workers, other external agencies
