About Stuart O.
As an IP professional I have helped start-ups, established companies, and academic institutions with their IP needs across a highly varied range of technologies and industries. My IP practice area experience includes: patent drafting and prosecution; freedom to operate, landscape, and patentability analyses; and investor diligence. Prior to focusing on intellectual property law, I applied my chemistry expertise to address challenges in the development of point-of-care diagnostic technologies in the medical device sector.My scientific experience also includes: post-doctoral research in surface chemistry, molecular electronics, and molecular self-assembly; doctoral research in the design, synthesis, and testing of organic materials for printable photovoltaics and microelectronics; and Master’s research -conducted during an industrial research internship in the Netherlands- on the synthesis of new catalysts for polymer production.
