ABOUT STUART WATT

I am an Executive Education Lead at CareTech, a leading provider of specialist education and care services for children and young people. I have a BEd in Physical Education from the University of Edinburgh, and I am passionate about improving educational outcomes and wellbeing for learners with diverse and complex needs. My core competencies include communication, teaching, and leadership skills, which I have developed and applied throughout my career in the education sector.As an Executive Education Lead, I oversee six schools across Scotland and the North of England, working alongside school leaders to provide governance and promote strategic change. I support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards that ensure quality, safety, and compliance. I also facilitate the sharing of best practices, resources, and learning opportunities among the schools and the wider CareTech network. In my previous roles, I was a Head Teacher of an independent specialist provision for young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs, and an Education Development Manager for Scotland at CareTech. In these roles, I demonstrated my ability to lead, manage, and inspire teams, design and deliver effective curricula and interventions, and collaborate with various stakeholders and partners. I am motivated and committed to creating a positive and inclusive culture that fosters innovation, collaboration, and excellence. I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, and contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
