WORK HISTORY
Engineering Manager @BAE Systems
Engineering Manager – Advanced Weapons & Munitions SupportReporting to the Chief Engineer, I led the product and process engineering functions supporting BAE Systems Munitions production of warheads and bomb payloads integrated onto complex weapon systems.I managed a multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for manufacturing engineering, process development, and production support across a major manufacturing site, ensuring safe, robust, and repeatable processes capable of meeting demanding safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.I drove engineering best practice through Design for Manufacture (DFM), DFMEA and PFMEA, ensuring designs and manufacturing processes were production-ready. I led product and process trials, including qualification through Sequential Environmental Testing (SET), and established in-service surveillance programmes to monitor field performance and drive reliability improvements.Working closely with programme, manufacturing, and commercial teams, I ensured engineering delivery aligned with programme cost, schedule, and quality baselines. I provided leadership to cross-functional teams supporting a global customer base while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.I also led engineering input to manufacturing capability and facility investment, supporting the development of large-scale warhead production processes and maintaining governance through regular technical and programme reviews with senior stakeholders.
