ABOUT STUART INCE
23 years experience in aerospace with Airbus, Rolls-Royce and GKN. A broad range of experience covering the majority of functions, programs and components of an aircraft has left me with a very good overall business knowledge. I jumped at the opportunity to be part of the supply chain and quality team based in Rolls-Royce Derby. Working with a fantastic and experienced team which is bringing a good challenge there’s lots of pressure, working on such a fast paced ramp up as the XWB project but it’s really enjoyable. It’s the second time I’ve been based in a supplier/industrial partner. In previous roles I have worked in design, manufacturing engineering, quality, project management, operations enablement plus enough exposure to almost every function in Airbus to have a good understanding of their role. I have a good product knowledge of wing, landing gear, fuselage and engines, as well as spending over 4 years in the A400m final assembly line in Spain. Various leadership roles, key skills include interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, ability to influence and articulate well, able to challenge and keep the team moving towards the bottom line deliverable. Equally comfortable working with VP’s to operators on the shop floor. Able to switch between top level and detail with ease.
