Full operational control, management and P&L responsibility for GRREC. A three stage 195Kt/yr residual waste processing facility incorporating mechanical separation, Biological treatment including Digestion and Advanced Thermal Treatment generating c.9MW of renewable energy. Ensure GRREC remains, fully compliant with statutory, regulatory, legislative, contract and corporate requirements. Provide clear leadership and manage a team of 76 direct & indirect reports - Direct reports include 5 Shift Team Leaders & Safety Permit Coordinator, and 70 indirect reports of site based Supervisors, Technicians & Operatives across 5 shifts Direct management of waste supply and disposal contracts and the effective implementation of facility Pollution Prevention and Control Permit (PPC). Ensure effective implementation of facility Health & Safety Plan, Environmental Management Plan and Quality in line with associated accreditations (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 etc). Ensure Plant availability, throughput of waste and energy production KPI targets are met and provide regular reports and maintain effective communication with the Viridor senior leadership team.
