In my current role as Group Technical Manager, I own responsibility for performance of 11 independent facilities across the UK, Middle East, and Indonesia, managing a combined annual turnover of ₤165M. In doing so, I facilitate coordination and evaluation of group’s technical, materials, weld engineering, QA/QC, and design engineering functions for all products manufactured and services provided. I am also responsible for authoring technical literature to promote group’s products and services. At the same time, I develop annual R&D strategy and business plan and submit yearly budget for board approval. Key achievements include: Tasked with instituting technical practices and policies across the enterprise. Successfully provided front end technical support for major tenders to a global customer base. Delivered a series of R&D projects, satisfying aim / objectives, timeline and budget. Led a project that successfully enhanced weld deposition rates of existing GTAW weld cladding equipment by more than twofold, improved efficiency and increased first-time pass yield. Played an integral role on the operations committee that assumed overall P&L responsibility. Maintained full accountability for business units P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet. Proved highly efficient in overseeing the strategic planning for business growth. Succeeded in upgrading principle manufacturing stages for MLP product in accordance with the latest national standards and customer specifications.
