About Stuart Cammarano

I have been in the logistics and warehousing field since 1992. This year marks over 33 years of experience in supply chain. In those years I have worked at both private and contracted logistics companies. I have learned from many professional in the industry. Between education and experience I have grown my knowledge and ability to operate and start-up a facility in multiple industry verticals. The food industry was challenging, but between the grocery and food service I have learned how to run successful sites.I have had the pleasure of becoming a project manager working with and building a team to start-up new operations. I have prided myself over the years of being able to build teams, which are the key to success. Leaders are not able to run operations by themselves, it takes a team to do it successfully. I learned from some excellent leaders in the past how I need to approach business. Collaboration has been something that has made me who I am in the industry, taking the ideas of a team and bringing them forward to make a business or operation successful.In my current role I have learned about multiple verticals in the contract logistics business. There are many that test you and make you better. I have been starting up and building out sites for our Pharma Vertical and enjoy working with these pioneers in the health industry. There are many items that must happen at these sites to ensure the products are kept safe.My wife has also made me a better person with her love of animals. People talk about a passion and she has that, joining the Board of a Shelter. We donate our time and sometimes money to help the shelter, mainly help the animals that did nothing to deserve what has happened to them. Volunteering to help raise funds at events, pick up donations, and do whatever to make a difference in a scared animals life, that is housed at a shelter. We also have a love for food competitions, getting involved in judging BBQ and Steaks. I love to Judge and socialize at Memphis in May and the SCA events getting to know people from all over.I received the last Dave Britton award, DCM of the year in 2006. This was a great honor and gave me the recognition that others have noticed my job skills.Responsibilities include; P/L, budget overview, operations management, customer account management, inventory management, pricing, service levels and cost cutting initiativesSpecialties: Logistics management, Lean logistics, Six Sigma, Start up / Transition Management, Management Trainer, Green Belt Training, and project management.
