I have transformed some of the largest and most prestigious facilities in the UK, driving growth through equipment supply, design, business consultancy, and project management, with proven success across both the private and public sectors.My career has given me significant and well-rounded knowledge of gym and facility operations, strengthened further by my work in the historic creation and sole supply of Leisureshield – an operational software system I helped design and exclusively distributed. Leisureshield was created to manage and measure customer experience and health & safety performance in leisure management. This has given me a unique dual perspective on both the practical operations and the digital requirements of modern leisure services.I am also highly experienced in public procurement, particularly in the field of tender writing. One example includes producing – from scratch – 12 submission documents in just 6 weeks. These were reviewed by procurement teams and each achieved 100% scoring, securing a £1.75m project in Northern Ireland. Over the years, I have also won numerous tenders with local authorities and leisure trusts, securing long-term exclusive supply contracts. I’m a driven & strategic business leader with over 25 years of director-level experience, built on a foundation in sales & marketing. My career has been defined by passion for health, wellness & performance – values that align perfectly with my work in the fitness & leisure industries. Over the years, I’ve delivered more than £35 million in fitness & leisure projects, leading teams, building brands & creating environments that inspire people to move.I have a proven track record of driving B2B growth in both public & private sectors through innovative, customer-focused solutions. My expertise in sales, negotiation & business transformation has secured long-term partnerships with global fitness leaders including Life Fitness, Precor, Star Trac, Matrix & Keiser. I’m known for spotting opportunities where others don’t – blending strategy, passion & commercial focus to deliver results with integrity & pride.From 2022 to 2024, I worked with The Great Outdoor Gym Company, managing international partnerships as a trade partner of the UK Department for International Trade. I strengthened relationships across Australia, Singapore, the Emirates & Hong Kong while establishing new distributors in Greece, Mexico, Romania, KSA & Scandinavia. I also negotiated a manufacturing & distribution licence with one of India’s largest equipment producers & supported innovations including the Calisthenics range & PowerSmart Green Fitness energy systems.From 2019 to 2022, I represented Life Fitness (for Fittr) across Northern Ireland, developing a £4.1m pipeline in 12 months & closing £2.2m in delivered sales within 18 months. Highlights included securing & installing the £1.75m ABC Council tender, delivered during the COVID-19 lockdown – a project that received 100% tender evaluation scores across 12 submissions written from scratch in six weeks.I founded Real Time Leisure in 2011 to focus on equipment distribution & leisure-specific software solutions. The business created LeisureShield, a cloud-based platform improving operational safety & staff performance across leisure sites. It served over 150 facilities nationwide, achieving £125k recurring annual turnover before market disruption caused by Brexit & COVID-19.Before that, my early career from to 2011 saw steady progression through the fitness equipment industry – from Star Trac (BDM) to Group Sales Director at Inspirit (Precor) & Commercial Director at Powerhouse Fitness. These were the years I learned to lead, build teams & grow businesses through passion, integrity & a genuine love for sport & achievement.
