ABOUT STUART BELL

Chartered civil structural engineer working as Associate with IKM Consulting engineering team. I lead the Civils team to deliver exciting projects in the UK and abroad.I have developed strong design and project management experience and accepted responsibilities on a number of energy focused projects around the world. Recently, these have included several projects across the UK focussing on tank storage in upper tier COMAH sites, new build and retrofit civil and structural projects, offshore/ onshore transition corridors, renewable onshore wind projects, asset inspections and assessments.Previous experience includes working with the Energy team of the Arup Hong Kong office and Civil Structures in the Glasgow office. Projects included new build LNG projects in East Asia and Africa (jetty designs, tank construction and ancillary requirements) and several design and assessments for onshore wind farms in the UK (cable routing, WTG foundations, roads, drainage and access).I am passionate about sustainable design, and pride myself on developing pragmatic solutions. Recent career responsibilities have also seen me lead a team of talented engineers, technicians, graduates and apprentices and I enjoy helping their career aspirations too. I lead IKM\'s Institution of Civil Engineers training agreement and have successfully sponsored several candidates through their Chartership process.
