ABOUT STU SHAGINAW

Stu is a Vice President of Asset Management with Gates Hudson, sharing almost two decades of operations experience managing apartment communities ranging in size and type to include: stabilized, new acquisition, and lease-up properties. Many of these properties have gone on to win awards. He has successfully managed several renovation projects and is considered vital to due diligence teams. Combined with his expertise in operations he excels in forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting and recently transitioned into Asset management where he can have a larger impact on the portfolio. Stu is able to communicate and manage expectations which has led to strong relationships with clients and owners. Stu comes from a background of managing residential communities in the DC, VA, MD area with Archstone. He graduated from Virginia Tech where he received a degree in property management as well as a certified apartment manager designation from the National Apartment Association. A proud Hokie, Stu grew up in the Pittsburgh area where he learned to love the colors black and yellow as a die-hard Penguins, Pirates, and Steelers fan.
