ABOUT TANYA MILLER

I am a Transformational Leader with 30 years technical and 24 years managerial experience, with the past 10 being in executive management. When seeking to transform, we rely upon a combination of experience, curiosity, trust in ourselves and others, and a willingness to take a leap. This in no way implies a cavalier approach; but rather, an openness to weave together the strengths of the people around you to create a fully imagined vision of “what could be”. No single person will bring the extensive breadth and depth of experience to design and fulfil the transformational aspirations alone. The right leader will question, listen, and challenge the ideas of business leaders and subject matter experts involved in the journey. They will bring their ideas, mentorship, and inspiration to individuals, groups, and stakeholders with the result being an aligned vision, described goals, and a step-by-step integrated roadmap, encompassing all aspects of the business. What I bring: I have a keen sense for understanding business needs and translating them into progressive, sustainable, realistic, and attainable solutions. My Workplace role gives me the unique opportunity to work with all business units across the company and learn first hand how their small business in the larger business operates, their needs, challenges, and frustrations. I am not afraid to analyze business processes and bring a more outcome driven approach to solutions. I am comfortable identifying when and where small tweaks are enough and when a full re-evaluation and re-design of a process or functional solution is required. No transformation can be achieved without understanding, respecting, and mindfully guiding the cultural shift across the business. The ability to describe the why and the why now story will be critical to the enablement of even the first step forward. I am motivated by challenge. I very much enjoy bridging the business and technology traverse by putting people at the forefront of every process and decision and letting those outcomes determine which, if any, technology solution is required. I believe the digital and physical workplace is no longer simply a support function for the business but a true driver of business, and as such, workplace professionals need to partner closely with their colleagues across the business to make the right decisions, not only for now but also for the future.
