Bus Franchising Programme - Ticketing ProgrammeThe Bus Franchising Programme is bring buses into local control and run by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) it is the biggest change to public transport in over 30 years. Responsible for implementing all the areas required to enable TfGM to develop, manage and monitor the retail channels required to enable customers to buy tickets to travel on the network. Projects with a combined budget of c£50m- Develop Ticketing Strategy and Ticket Proposition- Procure and implement Electronic Ticketing Machines on c2k buses- Develop the Bee Network App, including procure supplier to support App Shell development- Procure and implement Revenue Inspection technical solutions and processes- Implement Contactless multi modal PAYGO- Implement changes to Data Warehouse and extend supplier contract- Implement changes to in person retail channels to facilitate sale of new products- Business Change and Business Readiness activities for new technology/ functionality, including training c5k drivers. Provided strategic direction, vision and support across all areas of the programme, enabling delivery. Tasked with managing the delivery of a new brand Ticketing Strategy, including implementing functionality for managing and monitoring all ticket retail channels for TfGM, with robust back office capabilities. Delivered the Bee Network App, facilitating over 1m+ journeys and associated business revenues. Developed and embedded governance framework, secured funding, managed vendors, led a fully-integrated customer readiness campaign, and oversaw introduction of contactless ‘tap & go’ payments.
