As a member of the Executive Team and Chief Development Officer at the National Council on Aging (NCOA), I lead the design and execution of a comprehensive revenue generation strategy to support our mission of ensuring that every person can age with dignity, health, and financial security. My work focuses on expanding and diversifying NCOA’s funding streams—from federal grants and corporate partnerships to foundation support and individual philanthropy—while advancing innovation and equity at every turn. My core leadership responsibilities include: • Team Mentoring: Lead the Advancement Division (Promotions, Philanthropy, Development, Marketing & Comms, and Digital teams) to maximize impact through clear goals, data-driven operations, and donor-centric stewardship. • Strategic Resource Development: Building multi-year growth strategies aligned with NCOA’s vision, advising the CEO and Board on funding priorities, and cultivating a culture of philanthropy across the organization. • Federal & Institutional Partnerships: Strengthening relationships with agencies like ACL, CMS, and DOL to secure grants, while positioning NCOA as a trusted partner for national foundations. • Corporate & Individual Engagement: Driving cause-marketing collaborations with corporate leaders and growing our individual giving programs, including major gifts and digital fundraising. • Infrastructure Innovation: Overseeing CRM systems, analytics, and processes to ensure scalable, inclusive development practices that reflect NCOA’s commitment to equity.At the heart of this role is relationship-building—whether with federal stakeholders, high-net-worth donors, or cross-functional teams. I thrive on connecting resources to purpose, ensuring that every partnership amplifies our ability to dismantle systemic barriers facing older adults.
