Train and develop assigned staff to assure adherence to federal law and agency policy. Plan, assign and review the work of staff, including priorities, production, quality and customer satisfaction. Assess and deliver quarterly and annual performance reviews. Serve as subject matter expert for internal and external customers, senior leadership and other stakeholders, assessing and proactively mitigating a wide variety of risks. Identify organizational strengths and weaknesses and recommend changes to maximize efficiency. Write and recommend policy and procedures, including the re-write of SOP 50 52 2 governing Disaster Loan Servicing. Develop and deliver presentations to District Office staff and their regional affiliate lenders. Liaise between Loans, Legal, Management, OIG, OGC, District Offices and other agency staff. Direct and oversee gathering of information and decision-making critical to protection and recovery of agency and taxpayer resources.
