ABOUT SCOTT LARSON
I operate at the intersection of deep technology, capital markets, and complex systems. Although operational in startups and hard tech companies, I also serve on public and private company boards both Nasdaq and otherwise serving on the Audit, Governance, and Compensation committees. I\'m a big believer in governance, fiduciary duty, doing the right thing, and creating shareholder value as best as possible. I advise technology founders and selectively invest in deep tech ventures with a focus on autonomous systems, geospatial intelligence, space infrastructure, and dual use technologies shaping the next decade of global capability. My work has focused on building and scaling companies in autonomous systems, space infrastructure, Earth observation, and dual use technology. I am particularly drawn to hard technical problems that require both engineering depth and strategic capital alignment.Earlier in my career, I worked extensively in financial advisory roles with small and mid-market companies across industrial, manufacturing and services sectors. I advised on shareholder restructurings, M&A, turnarounds and strategic repositioning. That foundation in finance and governance continues to inform how I build and support technology businesses today.I am a founder of SpaceAlpha Insights, an Earth observation company developing next-generation synthetic aperture radar for space and also an other SAR company making SAR payloads for drones and UAV\'s.Previously, I co-founded and served as CEO of Helios Wire, a space-enabled IoT network integrating satellite infrastructure with blockchain architecture. We raised approximately $12 million, launched two satellites, secured over $100 million in customer commitments, and ultimately exited to a strategic investor. Before that, I co-founded and led UrtheCast, where we partnered with Roscosmos to deploy cameras on the International Space Station. We delivered the first colour HD video from space, built a global Earth observation platform, scaled to 250 employees across seven offices, raised $200 million in public markets and completed a $100 million acquisition.
