About Victoria Davis

Working in the automotive industry for 15 years as a project manager, I noticed that the toughest problems were not technical; they were the people issues. Managing time, managing agendas, paying attention to others\' goals and finding the solutions that met the team\'s objectives was the only way to succeed. Through Dale Carnegie, I honed my skills as a trainer, specializing in the Dale Carnegie Course: Effective Communications & Human Relations, the Sales Advantage, High Impact Presentations and Leadership Training for Managers. I witnessed people making changes they never thought they could. It is so satisfying.At American Addiction Centers, I developed new hire training curriculum including company values, leadership, facilities, industry overview, facilities overview, and treatment program overview. I developed the call center sales and customer service training. This curriculum included on-line content, face to face training, videos of leadership, facilities and programs, participant workbooks, and trainer manuals. I reviewed performance and provided performance improvement coaching to call center employees. Now at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, I lead the Learning Quality & Effectiveness department. We provide the tools, techniques and consulting that enable high-impact, cost-effective delivery of the skills and knowledge needed to improve staff performance and enhance patient care across the organization. Examples include instructor lead lean training and lean facilitator training, blended department specific on-boarding training and innovative culture of service learning experiences.
