ABOUT STEPHEN STEWART

Stephen Stewart, FCIP, CAIB, RIBO, is an insurance industry veteran who has built his career from early roles in business development and underwriting to leading the Canadian operations of an international Specialty Insurer. His experience spans the domestic, US, Bermudan and London markets on both the underwriting and brokerage side. Career highlights and accomplishments include: Acting as Principal Broker, Managing Director and Member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian operation of a Lloyd\'s syndicate. Establishing Canadian Specialty Casualty and Property departments of a Bermuda based Specialty Insurer. Launching the Canadian branch operations and acting as Chief Agent of a Bermuda based Specialty Insurer. Developing and executing business plans and strategies to position organizations for growth. Consistently meeting or exceeding budgets and performance objectives. Building dynamic, high performance teams. Managing a team of 15 underwriters with a $30MM book of mid-market business for a Domestic Insurer.
