ABOUT STEWART LOCHRIE
I\'m a business owner, trainer/coach, and public speaker working within the driving instructor training and road safety sectors. I have an extensive background in hospitality management. I\'m currently focused on two main roles: Chairman at the Approved Driving Instructors National Joint Council (ADINJC), where we provide representation, training, and leadership to thousands of Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) across the UK. Founder at Bright Coaching, an SQA-accredited training centre and home of the Professional Diploma in Coaching and Behavioural Change for Safe Driving (Level 7 SCQF). The aim of the Professional Diploma is to upskill ADIs beyond DVSA standards in order to provide a more thorough and complete learning experience for young drivers. The Professional Diploma provides ADIs with, among other things, the skills to consistently deliver training which meets the higher levels of the Goals for Driver Education.I\'m particularly interested in working with academics, road safety organisations, and public health advocates to modernise driver training, with a particular focus on reviewing and improving the DVSA driving instructor training and testing regime in the UK.
