I am Stewart Lawrence Skloss, a proud father, a man of faith, and a twelfth-generation Texan, dating back to before Texas was Texas, whose family history reaches back to the Canary Island settlers of 1731. My heritage is one of builders, educators, and civic leaders, and I try to honor that legacy through my work, my relationships, and how I raise my daughters, Ella and Mae.I began my entrepreneurial path at sixteen, founding a Farm & Ranch infrastructure construction company that taught me how land, people, and capital intersect. While attending the University of Texas, I strengthened my foundation in commercial real estate through hands-on internships with respected Central Texas professionals.After college, I joined the Hearst Corporation, working in New York City, London and eventually settling in San Antonio, gaining valuable exposure to global business under the guidance of one of the world’s most respected media families. I later co-founded a corporate real estate services firm representing Fortune 500 and Global clients. Following its acquisition by an international firm, I honored my agreement and expanded my work abroad, completing commercial real estate projects throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and select former Soviet markets.Today, as a Managing Director of Global Brokerage at Newmark, I represent private investors, family offices, institutional owners, international corporations, and sovereign wealth funds.
