ABOUT STEWART INGRAM

I am a self-motivated, construction professional with a wealth of experience in quantity surveying, project management, project control, cost management, procurement, contract management and extensive commercial expertise with a background in building, civil engineering, utilities and petrochemical industries. I am currently employed by United Utilities, managing the engagement of responsive and cost effective contractors via a system of Framework Agreements within a regulated environment, delivering demonstrable savings whilst maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety and efficiency.Prior to this, I had worked with large petrochemical organisations supporting major projects through the delivery of first class Project and Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying and Project Control services, negotiating, managing, planning, and monitoring the deliverables. I enjoy the challenge of achieving the highest standards of quality attainable within highly pressurised environments, and seek continual improvement in all aspects of my professional life.I am experienced in working within major organisations interacting with senior management and Directors. I also have strong communication, motivational and negotiation skills, displaying emotional control, diplomacy and excellent decision making abilities and sound judgement, and enjoy networking with similar minded professionals to improve my knowledge and skills.As a people manager, my style predominantly is to lead by example, inspiring team members to deliver through delegation, shared ownership and encouragement to expand their skills and knowledge and to proactively seek opportunities to improve or add value.
