An experienced security leader with over 20 years of experience in tactical and strategic development and implementation of holistic security road-maps for greenfield sites, transformation projects and acquisitions across various industries from the highly regulated FTSE 100 companies to greenfield sites. I pride myself on my integrity, my passion for improving security maturity and having realistic outlook balancing the cost of security amidst the current economic hardships by providing pragmatic solutions for all budgets.I have recently decided to move back into consultancy and started my company Secure Culture after witnessing how many companies are falling through the gaps, having been forced to downsize and are struggling to be able to afford increasingly complex and expensive security solutions. There is also a human impact with many security teams so under resourced that their day-to-day is constantly firefighting and never being able to move the dial forward which is increasingly leading to burnout and apathy. I believe that there is now a growing niche market for part-time V-CISOs to provide pragmatic solutions tailored to specific business needs and resources.I do not have horseshoes, crystal balls or silver bullets; however, I can offer honesty, over 20 years experience in the security industry, a vast security network and oceans of common sense.
