Stew has over 30 years experience of defending public and private officials sued for money damages, with an emphasis on Civil Rights Act claims and public agency defense. He has tried cases in all federal courts and half the counties in Washington. Also licensed in Oregon an Arizona. Specialties: Civil trial defense, police practices cases (shooting, arrest, pursuit, use of force), Public Records Act, training and seminar presentations, Coroner\'s Inquests, and appellate practice.
