I conceived CinderBio to apply discoveries from my laboratory in Berkeley to develop alternatives to petrochemical processes for many industries. Our technologies allow us to make biological catalysts (enzymes) that function optimally in nearly boiling acid solutions. CinderBio technologies allow a fundamental rethinking of how biocatalysts are applied in industry. We formulate application-specific enzyme products to save time while reducing chemical, water, and energy use for our customers. At CinderBio we capture 3 billion years of evolution to develop new sustainable and profitable 21st century industrial processes.
