About Steve Wyatt
Mr. Wyatt has over 20 years of experience directing large retail loss prevention and eCommerce risk teams in companies with multi-billion dollar revenues. He is a proven leader with a unique blend of executive acumen, retail operations, eCommerce risk management, and global team management skills. Before joining Starbucks, Mr. Wyatt held senior level leadership roles at Expedia, Inc. and Sears Holdings consisting of physical and digital loss prevention, operations, and risk management programs. While serving at Expedia Mr. Wyatt was responsible for global fraud and risk programs including fraud operations, data analytics/modeling, investigations, and chargeback operations. Prior to Expedia he served in multiple functions at Sears including corporate investigations, regional physical store loss prevention, and eCommerce risk. The culmination of his work history presents extensive experience in operational excellence, scaling organizations for international growth, and advanced physical store and eCommerce risk management techniques.Mr. Wyatt is a recognized leader within the eCommerce industry through various affiliations including the Direct Response Forum (DRF), Merchant Risk Council (MRC), and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He most recently served as the Executive Chairman on the DRF Board of Directors in 2013. Mr. Wyatt has a history of public speaking to include presenting risk loss prevention and eCommerce topics at the MRC, DRF, and BIG 10 Doctorial Consortium at the University of Illinois. Mr. Wyatt holds a Bachelor of Science in Management along with additional studies involving international economics. He is also a certified Retail Loss Prevention Professional (via Sears) and possesses specialty skills detecting internal loss (fraud) including human behavior interviewing (John E Reid – Reid Technique) and interview & interrogation (Wicklander-Zulawski).
