Founded in 1980, TFO Canada is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that improves lives through the creation of sustainable trade partnerships for small and medium sized exporters from developing countries with Canadian and foreign buyers. As Executive Director, I provide hands-on leadership to a dedicated team, while working closely with the Board of Directors in implementing a strategic plan that allows TFO Canada to further cement its reputation as a leader in trade-led international development. I am also responsible for seeking new sources of program funding, working with foreign governments and trade bodies, while maintaining solid relationships with Canadian funding agencies, including the federal government.
