I am a native of Southeast Texas, born in Port Arthur. I attended Texas A&M University. I received my Bachelor\'s of Business Administration Degree in Organizational Management in 1979. In 1980, I began his career with Allstate Insurance Company as a Claims Adjuster. While employed with Allstate my positions included Property Claim Manager and Staff Claim Analyst. I remained at Allstate Insurance Company until January of 1992, accepting a Paralegal position at Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, P.A.I primarily work with attorney F. Gregory Barnhart, investigating and evaluating cases involving medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, motor vehicle and aviation disasters, wrongful death, product liability, bad faith and insurance litigation. I also provide litigation support to Mr. Barnhart. I am an Associate member of the Florida Justice Association. I have remained active in community service as a mentor in the Cities In Schools Project for at-risk students and I was a Founding Board Member of Turtle Nest Village, which provides housing and training to disenfranchised foster children.Specialties: medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, motor vehicle and aviation disasters, wrongful death, product liability, bad faith and insurance litigation
