About Steve Rechnitz

After being fortunate in his business ventures early in his career Steve currently dedicates a good part of his time to his charitable foundation. Among many causes that are close to his heart, he has given millions of dollars for cancer research to the most prestigious research centers in the country including MD Anderson in Houston, TX, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, University of California at San Diego, Cedars Sinai Medical Center and sits on many of their boards. He also continues to support our troops and is involved with various veterans organizations and wounded warrior projects.His foundation financially adopts orphans across the United States and pledges to cover all expenses, including their schooling until their 21st birthday. He has built a successful drug abuse rehabilitation program whose graduates have moved on to start new lives, some of them holding positions at TwinMed, LLC. This successful program has been prominently featured on Fox News. In 2011 he was awarded the coveted Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year award in the Healthcare category.Steve is a guest lecturer at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business where he discusses entrepreneurship with students through a case-study developed by the University, which showcases the advantages of a PPD model successfully used in the HealthCare sector.

   Created the PPD model, which changed the face of healthcare supply distribution in the U.S. This (\"all you can eat\") model essentially charges a daily flat rate per patient for their medical supplies rather than paying per item used. Today, TwinMed, LLC is one of the largest suppliers of medical supplies to the post acute care market with fifteen distribution centers strategically located throughout the U.S.
