I am the Clinical Pharmacist Informaticist at AltaMed Health Services, the largest non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in the U.S.As a Pharmacy Informaticist, I create clinical decision support tools to optimize prescribing and computerized provider order entry, streamline clinical workflows, analyze medication warnings to reduce alert fatigue and maintain patient safety, and use data analytics to improve population health measures.As a Clinical Pharmacist in my hybrid role, I provide Comprehensive Medication Management services in adult primary care clinics to primarily Spanish-speaking underserved patients. I am passionate about clinical pharmacy practice, public health, and evidence-based policy and decision-making.I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a Minor in Philosophy from California State University, Sacramento and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Francisco. I then completed an ASHP-Accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency with a Focus in Ambulatory Care at the VA Northern California Health Care System. I am credentialed as both a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist and Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. I am additionally licensed as an Advanced Pharmacist Practitioner. I have Epic EHR remote accreditation as a Clinical Content Builder working in EpicCare Ambulatory, and have completed a Knowledge Track on Medication Warnings and Badge on E-Prescribing.
