ABOUT STEVEN SUZIO

As a Senior Software Developer at Auto-Owners Insurance, I am part of the Underwriting Modernization team that is developing a brand new system for commercial line policies. I use my Duckcreek/XML and COBOL programming skills to create and maintain the Policy Admin System platform, which is a leading software solution for the insurance industry. I also apply my agile testing and communication competencies to ensure the quality and functionality of the system, as well as to collaborate effectively with my sprint team and other stakeholders. I have over 5 years of experience in mainframe development, where I utilized COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve plus, and DB2 tables to work on the legacy system for commercial lines of insurance. This background has given me a solid understanding of the business logic and data structures of the insurance domain, as well as the ability to adapt to changing technologies and requirements. I am passionate about learning new skills and tools, and I enjoy the challenge and reward of developing a modern and efficient system for underwriting.
