ABOUT STEVEN BROWN
November 21st 2019. I embarked on my first post-studying career as an ESL teacher in Beijing China. Education has always been my passion. I wanted to pursue experience from the opposite side of the classroom - the teacher. Additionally, I wanted to coincide my first leap into a professional career with a new location so I can gain new perspectives and broaden my international experience. Teaching has so far been a rewarding, reassuring and eye-opening career choice. Every day, I am constantly improving myself and I continue to strive to make a mark in the TEFL world that I am currently within. Throughout my academic career, I have focused on human rights, current affairs and international politics. I have conducted a wide range of academic research on important topics in these fields, such as human trafficking, sustainable development and migration policy. Aside from my passion in research, I have enjoyed the element of teaching that I adopted by providing tutoring services throughout my educational career. I have gained valuable transferable skills, such as leadership, research skills, time management and the ability to work collaboratively and successfully in a team.
