About Steve Hall
My current role is Lead Engineer on Northwestern Mutual’s internal DXP. The platform hosts over two hundred applications used by Northwestern Mutual’s financial advisors and corporate personnel. It provides foundational services to application tenant teams that reduces lead time to delivery. The platform provides: authentication, authorization, search, data APIs, data entitlements, UI design system, static assets CDN and a host of other features.I bring more than two decades of custom software implementation experience that cut across numerous problem domains. Through my career I\'ve been exposed to a broad range of software environments, from Fortune 100 enterprise grade systems to embedded industrial control devices. I\'ve worked in highly regulated industries like Financial Services and Healthcare, so I understand the rigger required to mitigate risk and remain compliant. I have nearly a decade of building and operating cloud native distributed systems at enterprise scale.
