About Steven Alvarez
At Stantec, he leads teams through the proposal process from initiation through submission and provides support for the shortlist interview. As Co-Chair of the Pride at Stantec Quad State ERG, he has helped create a welcoming and safe environment for our LGBTQIA2S+ staff to thrive at work. We host educational and cultural events in a hybrid format to be as inclusive and accessible as possible-(), certified through the Proposal Industry Experts (PIE). He serves on the board of directors at SMPS Philadelphia as the Director of Chapter Relations. There, he builds partnerships with other professional groups by developing co-hosted events, and spearheads the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program. Each year we run our DEI Membership Grant that allows SMPS Philadelphia to award a year\'s membership to applicants who may not have the financial support needed to join as a member. By removing that paywall, we welcome new and diverse voices to the group by placing them on a committee of their choice so they can get integrated into the group, flex their leadership skills, and help grow the organization:\'.
