Conceptual designer and developer of the VertAx Wind 15 + MW modular offshore vertical axis wind turbine. Also one of the founding board members of VertAx Wind Ltd and a majority shareholder. VertAx wind has exclusive rights to a highly technologically advanced multi-megawatt vertical axis wind turbine, for use off-shore. Although advanced, the machine is simplistic and modular by design, providing an off-shore wind turbine solution which has a high energy output, but low maintenance requirement, resulting in a significantly lower cost of energy for a given area of seabed. Steven and the VertAx team have spent a number of years developing the design, secured some excellent technical partners from academia and industry, completed a significant amount of validation and proof of concept work and are now proceeding to the detailed design and large prototype stages.
