Hello there! I\'m Steven Lowry, a passionate and driven Security Operations Specialist @ Monzo Bank with a strong background in digital risk management and Security Operations. Now developing a property portfolio in Baguio/La Trinidad, Benguet.Let me take you through my journey thus far: I graduated from Ulster University with a BSc Hons in Interactive Multimedia Design (Web Dev) in 2016, achieving Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1). My career in cybersecurity kicked off when I found an exciting opportunity as a Security Analyst intern at Proofpoint. Within their Digital Risk Team, I quickly demonstrated my potential and climbed up to Level 3, eventually taking on an unofficial lead role for their team based in Belfast. In January 2021, I embraced a new challenge and pivoted into a more SOC-oriented role at Cygilant, an MSSP in Belfast. Joining as a Level 2 SOC Analyst and Shift Lead, I dove head-first into day-to-day operations and challenges. My dedication and hard work paid off, and after just 6 months in the role, I was entrusted with a pivotal role within Cygilant\'s new Security Services Team, being promoted to L2 Security Services Analyst. In January 2022, Cygilant became part of the US-based SilverSky MSSP, previously acquired by BAE, marking a significant milestone in my career journey. Recognizing my potential and leadership skills, in March 2022, I was promoted to Team Lead of Security Services, overseeing a diverse team spanning over three different time zones. Seeking new horizons, in July 2023, I came across a fantastic opportunity at Monzo Bank. As a long-time admirer of Monzo\'s innovative approach and culture, I knew this was the perfect fit for me. Now, as a part of Monzo\'s highly effective Security Operations team, I collaborate with other security functions, ensuring a safe and secure environment for the organization and its customers. Hoping to enhance my skills in Detection Engineering and Automation.
