About Steven Lamour

I am a financial and program analysis professional who knows how to keep complex public projects moving in the right direction. My work focuses on helping agencies deliver programs that are accountable, efficient, and aligned with real-world outcomes. I spend a lot of time translating between numbers, policy, and execution so teams can make decisions that actually stick.In my current role supporting government programs and regulatory affairs in the transportation sector, I manage financial workflows, track project performance, analyze compliance requirements, and support cross agency coordination. I often serve as the link between technical teams, leadership, and external partners to keep projects on track and grounded in data.Before transitioning into project controls and financial analysis, I built a foundation in government relations, legislative analysis, and intergovernmental affairs. That experience taught me how policy is shaped, how agencies operate, and how stakeholders influence outcomes. It also helps me understand both the political context and the operational reality behind every project.I am also deeply connected to the Haitian diaspora, and I bring that perspective into my work and writing. I care about how public systems such as transportation, governance, and economic development shape people’s lives in the United States and across the Caribbean. My thought leadership focuses on how data, strategy, and diaspora engagement can strengthen institutions and support long-term development.Outside of work, I am a loyal Indiana Pacers fan, which means I have mastered patience, long-term planning, and believing in potential even when the world doubts you. Those skills translate surprisingly well into public sector work.Across every role, my goal is the same. I use analysis, coordination, and policy insight to help public sector organizations deliver measurable impact.
