WORK HISTORY
Controller (Chief Financial Officer Cfo-level Executive Leader) @Fire Engineering Company, Inc
In a pivotal role (CFO-level role) within a 135-employee ESOP company, I transformed our financial strategies and operations. Also a voting member of the Executive Board, I played a key role in driving 6 figures of growth. I am proud of my close collaboration with and advisory role to the President and Vice President. I spearheaded strategies to enhance daily cash flow, strengthen overall sustainability, and mitigate corporate risk. Simultaneously, I focused on nurturing a cohesive team of 5, including billing, accounts payable, contract clerk (accounts receivable), and assistant controller, to align with our collective goals. One of my key contributions involved researching and aligning our financial reporting strategy at the right level of granularity and high-level vision, which enabled our Board and executive team to understand our current financial positions and plan for future purchases, investments, and ESOP obligations. Finally, to ensure the strength and consistency of our business, I established programs that smoothed our financial positions; core to this program was maximizing investment income, well-researched debt financing, and thoughtful cost controls. One of our biggest resulting successes was fulfillment of our real estate note nearly 5 years sooner than anticipated.
