About Steve Good
With 20 years of experience on the Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity staff, Steve is now the Executive Director of the Iron Phi Foundation, challenging members and friends of Phi Delta Theta to become philanthropists through athletic and fundraising pursuits that support the Live Like Lou Foundation and Phi Delta Theta. Steve created and has led Iron Phi since 2010, attracting participants of all ages who have raised $5.3+ million through charity athletics. In his role, Steve also leads the growing impact of the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award, a character-based award that lives in the National Baseball Hall of Fame and has been given to Major League Baseball players since 1955. He created and introduced the Lou Gehrig Community Impact Team award within collegiate baseball in 2023.Steve spent his undergraduate days at Iowa State University, completed his MBA at Xavier University, is a graduate of Leadership Iowa, and completed a Digital Marketing certification program at the University of Illinois. Steve and his wife Tillie live in Ames, Iowa with their son Calvin and daughter Tessa. After a nineteen-year run, Steve Good, Iowa State ’04, will move into a new role with the General Headquarters launching the Iron Phi Foundation as its Executive Director. The Iron Phi Foundation was developed with one goal in mind – to continue to expand the success of the Fraternity’s Iron Phi initiative, challenging members to become philanthropists through athletic and fundraising pursuits that support the Live Like Lou Foundation and Phi Delta Theta. In his role, Steve will also continue to lead the growing impact of the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award.
