I have over 30 years industry experience working in senior technical roles for large enterprises including GEC, AT & T, Royal Mail, HSBC and BT.I was a founder of Layer 3 Consulting in 2004. Layer 3 served a growing client base in need of expertise in switching, routing, telephony, security and wireless technologies. The business evolved into a significant Cisco Partner specialising in complex Wi-Fi solutions. This was highlighted through a major success when we deployed the UK\'s first large scale stadium high-density Wi-Fi network; throughout a seat football stadium for a Champions League club. The project included developing a captive portal solution to capture user data and provide valuable customer analytics leading to the knowledge and drive around leveraging data value in Makutu.Recognising the strategic differentiation Layer 3 had developed through our portal technology and stadia experience the large corporate service provider Daisy Group acquired our business in May 2014.Following the sale I stayed within the the business acting as Head of Daisy Wi-Fi as part of an agreed 3 year integration and growth phase. This proved to be a highly successful period for all concerned and I exited the business at the end of May 2017 looking forward to new challenges.
