ABOUT STEVEN FINLAY

I am a Machine Learning (Data Science) expert specialising in credit risk, predictive modelling and forecasting. I have a PhD in Management Science and more than twenty years experience of working for a range of public and private sector organisations. I have a strong track record of providing high quality leadership and consultancy around how best to develop and embed advanced analytical solutions to deliver business benefit. I am currently the Head of Analytics at Computershare Loan Services (CLS), developing analytical, BI and reporting solutions for the financial services industry.In my previous role at The Co-operative Bank, I was responsible for all credit risk models deployed by the bank. This included capital models for Basel IV (PD, EAD and LGD) and impairment models under IAS39/IFRS9, as well as forecasting models and operational models for application, behavioural and collections scoring. I have also held a variety of analytical, consultancy and management positions during my career. This including working for organisations such as jaywing, GUS home shopping, The UK Government and Experian.The fourth edition of my book:\"Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Business.
