Personal Support Worker @It Takes A Village

In the past two years, I have worked with four teenagers with diverse special needs, developing individualized, goal-oriented activities to support their growth and development. For one client who had challenges with enunciation because of Down Syndrome, I implemented targeted strategies to encourage slower, more deliberate speech patterns. This approach helped improve his enunciation and comprehensibility.Over the span of two years, he progressed from using gestures and grunts to effectively communicating in sentences of five to six words with little assistance.
