Led a team of Treasury Analysts and provided technical guidance, direction and training. Reviewed work performed to ensure quality and adherence to regulatory, administrative, and statutory reporting requirements. Managed and coordinated multiple banking projects collaborating with cross-functional teams including AR, AP, Legal, IT and Tax. Utilized Treasury Management System – FIS Integrity to manage cash positioning and forecasting, foreign exchange, debt and investment, accounting, compliance, and reporting. Performed complex financial analysis of debt and investment management. Researched, developed, and recommended alternative methods for implementing financial strategies and processes. Prepared in-depth business analysis reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management, the Board of Directors, and Provincial Treasury along with annual and quarterly plans for debt and investment activities. Monthly and quarterly debt and derivative valuations including mark-to-market and hedge accounting. Managed BC Hydro’s Debt Management program of issuing both long term Bonds, 10-year and 30-year Bonds, and short-term Commercial Paper to fund Working Capital and Capital Expenditures. Developed and maintained effective relations with the Provincial Treasury, banks, investment companies and credit rating agencies to negotiate and recommend financial contracts, provided alternative financing and refinancing strategies.

Throughout the course of my career I have always proudly been part of the financial sector. I have proven skills in different sides of the industry which exemplify my versatility - from working for many years in the investment broker side and more recently several years in treasury. I always take on new responsibilities along the way, thrive on learning new things, and am always looking for new challenges. I am CFA Charterholder with over 15 years of experience in the Financial Sector, most recently working as the Treasury Analyst for two publicly traded companies: Canadian Forest Products Inc.(Canfor)- CFP.TO and Canfor Pulp Inc- CFX.TO. Also proud to have been part of the integration team that led the biggest credit union merger in Canada while as the Senior Treasury Analyst at Prospera Credit Union. I feel very fortunate to have played a valuable role in it from inception of the business case to integration and implementation. In my most recent role, as Senior Corporate Treasury Analyst at BC Hydro I had taken on more responsibilities in Cash and Liability management and Regulatory reporting. I am excited about the opportunities to learn and grow in my new position and am up for the challenge.
